The built-in scarf drapes perfectly every single time—no adjusting, no fuss—instantly leveling up a simple jeans-and-tee outfit. The clean lines, the soft structure, the quiet luxury vibe without the try-hard energy… It’s the kind of piece you never get tired of wearing, which is why editors, influencers, and basically everyone who owns it refuse to let it go.

“I love everything Toteme, but the outerwear is what I invest in the most often. The brand has basically started so many coat trends—including the scarf coat one. “My Toteme scarf coat is something of a special heirloom for me. For years, I’d wrongly believed that working in fashion and being plus-size meant that my outfits, as accessorized as they were with It items and designer finds, could never be top-notch because I could never fit into luxury ready-to-wear pieces. Oh, how I was sorely mistaken. I stumbled upon this Toteme jacket at the brand’s Stockholm flagship boutique during a press trip and bought it after trying it on for two seconds. I’d fallen in love with it on the internet, but putting it on my body and feeling the construction somehow made me fall even more head over heels for the piece.
“Since then, a winter week hasn’t gone by where I don’t wear my scarf jacket. I’ve worn it in Paris, Madrid, Tokyo, Copenhagen, and, of course, New York. I decided to go for the chocolate-and-ivory color combination since I wanted something that wasn’t as overdone as the classic black-and-white colorway, a gamble that’s served me well considering it’s often the first jacket I reach for when the temperatures dip into the 40s in New York. My only qualm about the jacket is that the scarf tends to slip off my shoulder when I’m wearing my work tote or another heavier shoulder bag.
