Affordable Housing Finance’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards recognizes outstanding affordable housing developments in nine categories.
The program is open for nominations, and the deadline is March 31.
Affordable housing communities that were completed in 2025 or will be completed this year are eligible to be nominated at ahfawards.com. In its 22nd year, the program will recognize developments the following categories:
- Family;
- Historic Rehab;
- Mixed-Use;
- Permanent Supportive Housing;
- Preservation;
- Public Housing Redevelopment;
- Rural (in a place with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants);
- Seniors; and
- Urban.
AHF will select the finalists, which will be featured online and in the June/July issue, based on several criteria, including impact on the community, evidence of cost effectiveness, creative problem solving, innovative design or construction, and outstanding social services for residents.
Magazine and newsletter subscribers then will vote for the winner in each category. Winners will be recognized at AHF Live: The Affordable Housing Developers’ Summit, Nov. 16 to 18, in Chicago.
