Real Fashion Junkies Will Recognize the Looks in the New ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Trailer

The Devil wears Valentino. And Schiaparelli. And also, maybe, Depop?

That’s what we’ve learned from the latest Devil Wears Prada 2 trailer, which hit YouTube, Instagram, and probably your college friends’ group chat early this morning.

A continuation of the first teaser, this new video has the same beloved situations: Miranda brims with disdain at unsuitable models. (This time, they look like “methodone farmers” instead of paunchy female paratroopers, at least.) Emily quietly seethes into her Dior handbag until she can either exact revenge on a petty foe or gulp down one cube of cheese. Andy Sachs desperately races across town to save the fashion universe from…something. Madonna’s “Vogue” anthem is blaring on repeat like it’s the practice reel for a junior high karaoke contest.

But this Devil Wears Prada 2 teaser has also got more of Bridgerton alum Simone Ashley as well as some real fashion reveals for style junkies, including a holy grail piece from John Galliano’s fall/winter 2000 collection (otherwise known as the “newsprint” collection), a one-of-a-kind Jean Paul Gaultier couture piece once used in a Dita Von Teese burlesque show, and a goth-girl dream top that’s currently on sale at SSENSE.

Scroll down to see some of the new fashion reveals from the Devil Wears Prada 2 trailer, along with directions—or at least, wishful hints—on how to get them for yourself.

The Holy Grail Tee

Made to correspond with John Galliano’s legendary fall/winter 2000 collection for Christian Dior in Paris, these Galliano tees were fervently collected until the designer’s very public, very hateful meltdown in 2011. After that, many people simply threw them out. Fifteen years and many public apologies later, the pieces are slowly returning to “flex” status again, especially because there are far fewer of them lurking in people’s archives. Sometimes, they pop up on sites like Vestiaire Collective for about $250. Want the full newsprint dress, as famously seen on Carrie Bradshaw? That’ll be $5,000.

The Runway Blazer at Runway

Miranda Priestly runs Runway and shops the runway. In the new trailer, that means she’s sporting a spring 2026 striped blazer by Schiaparelli, which you can purchase now…for $7,500. Just know the jacket is already making the rounds: Actress Maria Bakalova just sported it to a Vanity Fair party in Los Angeles. No word on whether it was a loan from Meryl.

The Runway Blazer from 2024

Dries Van Noten’s last eponymous womenswear collection included this deep purple jacket, embroidered at the collar and sides with encrusted paillettes and beads. It’s currently available on The RealReal for about $1,200.

A fun fact: This diagonal stripe jacket Miranda’s wearing later in the trailer? Also Dries, and on sale at Net-a-Porter for 50 percent off. Enjoy.

The Miley Cyrus Hand-Me-Down

If you think Simone Ashley’s dress from the Devil Wears Prada 2 gala scene looks familiar, it’s because you saw it in 2019 at the Grammy Awards, when Miley Cyrus sported it as one of her four onstage outfits. Because this dress is couture, there’s only one running around—so make friends with DWP2 costume designer Molly Rogers if you really, really want it. The good news: She’s pretty active on Instagram!

The Scorched Earth Dress

As Emily mutters, “may the bridges I burn light the way,” she wears an apocalypse-worthy gown from Rick Owens’s fall 2025 collection, which is still for sale at Editorialist. If you’re hunting for a cheaper approximation, SSENSE has one—one!—Rick Owns shirt on clearance that’s very similar, especially when paired with the matching skirt.

(Or Just Get the Hoodie)

Demna’s 2017 gauntlet to the fashion world was a $1,200 hoodie emblazoned with Emily’s new mantra, “May the bridges I burn light the way.” It is now on Depop. Wear it to your next hideous skirt convention.
