Redding Chico Eureka

Movie enthusiasts and city officials met on Wednesday to discuss ways for movies to generate income for Redding.

Local producer Michael Flanagan sponsored the Redding City Hall meeting, bringing those who sponsor them and city councilmembers. The purpose of the meeting was to let everyone know what’s available, from scenic areas like Mt. Shasta and Burney Falls, to the city’s policy of issuing free permits to shoot the next blockbuster like “Miracle Mile” that features local actors and production team.

Flanagan believes added income from locally produced films can help fill the gap left when Measure A, the one percent sales tax, failed to pass.
