Reducing friction in ARC Raiders

One of the things we care most about as a development team is making sure every moment you spend in ARC Raiders feels purposeful. Your time matters, and we don’t want you spending it clicking through menus when you could be out raiding.

That’s why we listen closely to what you tell us. And one piece of feedback kept coming up: “I’m spending too much time crafting”.

Missing materials

A lot of you pointed out that gathering missing materials for a craft was more work than it should be. You already knew where to get what you needed, maybe from recycling something you had lying around, or picking it up from Celeste, but jumping through multiple screens to actually do it was a pain point. That friction was getting in the way of the fun.

What we’ve done about it

We’ve introduced a streamlined way to acquire missing materials directly from the crafting screen. Now, when you’re missing something for a craft, you’ll see a new Acquire Resources button. Tap it, and you’ll get a clear list of every available source where you can get what you need, whether that’s recycling, buying from Celeste, or something else, so you can fill the gap and complete your craft without losing your flow.

The keyword here is available: if a material is obtainable through your current options, you’ll see it, and you can act on it immediately. No more hunting through menus. No more abandoning crafts out of frustration.

Just the start

We know this doesn’t fix everything. Streamlining crafting runs deeper than one button, and we’re always looking at what comes next. Our team is going to keep chipping away at these pain points systematically, and you can expect to see more soon.

Thank you for continuing to share your feedback. It directly shapes what we prioritize and how we build. Keep it coming.

All the best,

The ARC Raiders UI/UX Team
