“Resident Evil Requiem” launched across multiple platforms Ffriday.
The latest entry in the iconic survival horror franchise from developer Capcom brings players back to Racoon City with tense gameplay, immersive mysteries and the return of fan-favorite characters.
The game follows FBI intelligence analyst Grace Ashcroft as she investigates a series of mysterious crimes, ultimately returning to the site of her mother’s death. Meanwhile, agent Leon S. Kennedy, making his first appearance in the franchise since earlier titles, searches for a missing police officer. Players can swap between first- and third-person perspectives for both characters, navigating challenging puzzles, managing scarce resources and deciding when to fight or flee from hostile enemies.
“Resident Evil Requiem” continues the series’ signature mix of frantic combat and investigative gameplay. Grace relies on limited supplies and careful enemy analysis, while Leon engages in action-heavy sequences using firearms and his trusty hatchet.
Nintendo is highlighting the game’s development in the “Creator’s Voice” video series, where director Koshi Nakanishi discusses reimagining fear and exploration for the Switch 2 system. The series can be viewed here.

Mattel is bringing its classic card game UNO into major creator platforms with two new digital experiences now live on Fortnite and Roblox.
Mattel Digital Studios announced the launches as part of its push to extend physical play into virtual worlds, partnering with leading developers to adapt UNO for social, competitive play. The moves mark the brand’s first-ever UNO experiences on both platforms and are inspired by the world’s No. 1 card game, according to Circana.
On Roblox, Mattel teamed with Preloaded to launch “UNO: Bridge Clash,” a team-based race that turns UNO mechanics into an obstacle course. Players match cards to build bridges while using disruptive WILD power-ups to sabotage opponents, block paths and create chaos. The goal is to capture the golden UNO card and return it to base before the opposing team. The experience is live now on Roblox and is rated for ages 5 and up.
On Fortnite, Mattel partnered with Look North World to create “UNO Royale,” a competitive multiplayer experience built around familiar Fortnite mechanics. Players collect and craft Loadout Cards to build strategic decks that influence gameplay and visuals, competing across four tournament arenas. Winners unlock cosmetic rewards, including card skins and players can showcase their collections in a personalized Card Dojo. “UNO Royale” is live on Fortnite via island code 8269-3234-9999 and is suitable for all ages.
Recent projects include “Masters of the Universe: He-Man Heroes” on Fortnite, “Monster High” on Roblox and “Barbie Dreamhouse Tycoon,” which has surpassed 500 million visits.
