Fashion and storytelling intertwine at Ringling College of Art and Design’s annual student-led runway show.
This year’s Genesis Fashion Show theme, “Woven in Time,” follows a soul’s journey in three acts: “Life, Battle and The Unknown.”
Before the runway lights come up, guests are invited to an outdoor pre-show featuring a photo area, live figure-sketch portrait artists and other interactive elements meant to immerse visitors in the creative spirit behind the production.
The show itself highlights the work of 21 designers, all exploring how identity, struggle and transformation shape the threads of existence. The event will showcase 30 original garments modeled by students, with more than 100 contributing students from 13 creative majors.
The show on Friday, March 21 in Sarasota is sold out, but hopeful guests can join a waitlist.
