Saks Fifth Avenue at Fashion Show mall to close in Las Vegas

A luxury anchor tenant is closing its doors at the Fashion Show mall in Las Vegas after 45 years.

Saks Global recently announced that the company would shutter 12 additional Saks Fifth Avenue stores and three Neiman Marcus locations across the country. Included in the announcement was the closure of Saks Fifth Avenue’s Las Vegas store at Fashion Show mall.

A representative for Saks Global confirmed in an email Tuesday afternoon that the store is expected to remain open until the end of May.

Saks, along with Neiman Marcus, was part of the original anchors that opened the Las Vegas Strip mall on Feb. 14, 1981, the Review-Journal reported previously.

Following the latest round of closures, the company stated that 13 Saks stores will remain open across the country along with 32 Neiman Marcus locations.

Neiman Marcus’ Fashion Show mall location will remain open, according to Saks Global, which said the company is “always evaluating its store footprint and may find it necessary to close a store in the future.”
