Samsung kicks off One UI 8.5 Beta 6 update rollout with tons of fixes. It’s rolling out to the users of Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra in Europe, Korea, and India.
Yesterday, Samsung held a mega Unpacked event, where it introduced the new flagship phones and earbuds. The official One UI 8.5 equipped with Agentic AI upgrades was also a spotlight during the Unpacked keynote.
Now, Samsung pushed the One UI 8.5 Beta 6 (ZZAO) with several fixes. The previous update felt like everything was settled internally. Meanwhile, the expansive content of the Beta 6 release suggests there’s more work remaining.
What’s new in One UI 8.5 Beta 6
The sixth Beta targets Bixby, Gallery, Now Bar, Now Brief, Display settings, Modes, and Routines. Samsung also highlighted improvements for the animations related to notification cards, probably in the Notification Panel.
Bixby Labs users will notice that the wake-up phrase creation feature is now working as intended, and a duplicate “View Previous Image” button that was cluttering the Gallery’s sketch conversion tool has been cleaned up.
Now Bar and Now Brief recommendation cards also got some attention, with text, icons, and Always-On Display visibility all corrected. A crash that occurred when adjusting camera area settings under Display has been resolved.
The lock screen style in Basic mode will no longer unexpectedly change when working with Modes and Routines. Rounding things out, notification card animations have been smoothed out for a more polished feel overall.
