The quality of the aluminum chassis is beyond any doubt, only the hinges could be a bit firmer to prevent wobbling. We also have to say that the keyboard with the shallow key travel is not ideal. There are other 16-inch multimedia laptops on the market with superior typing experiences (like the Asus ProArt P16 or Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16).
Samsung uses soldered RAM and it looks like some countries will be limited to SKUs with 32 GB RAM (max. 64 GB), but you can at least install two M.2-2280 SSDs (still PCIe 4.0). The performance of the GeForce RTX 5070 in combination with the Intel Panther Lake processor is very good and the fan noise is still bearable. In terms of brightness, the OLED screen of the Galaxy Book6 Ultra is beaten by the MacBook Pro’s Mini-LED panel, especially in HDR. However, Samsung includes a touchscreen, which is not available for the MacBook. The battery runtime is also very competitive, even though the battery is smaller compared to Apple’s. The sound system is also very good.
