Samsung continues to maintain its solid foothold in the global gaming monitor market thanks to its advanced display solutions. The company has secured the top spot in this space for seven years in a row. This streak began in 2019.
Samsung offers an attractive gaming monitor lineup worldwide
According to data from International Data Corporation (IDC), Samsung led the global gaming monitor market (by revenue) with 18.9% share. The company also performed well in the premium segment. It ranked first (for the third consecutive year) in the OLED gaming monitor category with a 26% market share.
Samsung achieved this because of its strong focus on fulfilling gamers’ basic needs. This includes faster refresh rates, higher resolutions, and more immersive visuals. At GDC 2026, the company showcased its next-gen advancements with the 2026 Odyssey lineup.
Samsung’s latest 27-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XF model) offers glasses-free 3D gaming. It uses eye-tracking technology to create natural-looking depth. The monitor is available for purchase in the US on the official online store. As for the 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH model), it features a 4K QD-OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate. Thanks to OLED Safeguard+ technology, it helps reduce screen burn-in.
The 32-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HS model) offers 6K resolution and supports dual-mode performance. You can switch between refresh rates, reaching up to 330Hz at lower settings. The monitor also supports DisplayPort 2.1, improving gaming performance and media playback. For competitive gamers, the company offers the 27-inch Odyssey G6 (G60H model) that supports a 1,040Hz refresh rate.
