Sarah Schutz is the Head of Global Publishing where she leads a team dedicated to creating memorable moments for players to experience surrounding our games. Sarah oversees the teams responsible for driving these player touchpoints including brand, creative, marketing, and community.
For more than a decade, Sarah has helped Riot uphold its commitment in making it better to be a player. As the player experience evolves, she’s shaped the way that commitments manifests across all of Riot’s products including esports, music, TV & Film, CPX, and everything in between. She has held a myriad of roles across product and brand management, communications, and executive support, where she focused on company-wide initiatives that defined Riot’s values and corporate strategy. Before Sarah came to Riot, she worked in writing, journalism, and creative direction after studying journalism and English at Northwestern University.
Sarah is always playing games and is constantly rotating between playing a deep RPG, a strategy game of sorts, an indie game, and, of course, a Riot game (currently TFT). When she’s not playing games, she’s either running, birdwatching, or both at once. She currently resides in Echo Park, CA, with her partner and their four cats (Princess Buttercup, Catastrophe Wizard, Schrödinger, and Lucifer) and two dogs (Úlfur and Maleficent).
