South Atlantic Water Science Center (SAWSC) Physical Scientist Will Hamilton’s talk showcased how StreamStats improved watershed delineations in urban areas using storm drain mapping. SAWSC Hydrologist Charlie Stillwell outlined the effects of best management practices (BMPs) and land use changes on streamflow patterns in 120 midAtlantic headwater streams. SAWSC Hydrologist Rosemary Fanelli presented on stream temperature patterns and extremes across the same 120 streams. The presenters, along with Center Director John Joiner and Supervisory Hydrologist Andy Knaak, also hosted a table at the conference to provide outreach to local, state, Charlie Stillwell (left) and Will Hamilton (right) provide outreach to USGS partners and students (credit: Rosemary Fanelli, USGS).
