EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – College students are stepping out of the classroom to share their lessons with everyone.
Michigan State University is holding its annual Science Festival celebrating STEAM.
That’s an acronym for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.
There are hundreds of hands-on experiences to explore various STEAM fields and future career opportunities all across campus.
Students pursuing fields like physics, biology and the arts have prepared a variety of demonstrations.
“They like to make it fun. The Science Festival is meant to be a celebratory atmosphere,” said Katherine Prokopchuk, the MSU Science Festival coordinator. “It’s not like you’re studying STEM in the classroom, you’re really exploring how science relates to your every day lives in really fun, exciting ways.”
