FORT WAYNE — Science Central is announcing the expansion of Science4U, its hands-on STEM education program, with the assistance of a $3,500 Community Funds Grant from the Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Inc. Science4U delivers high-quality science learning experiences directly to students and educators, making STEM engaging and accessible for learners of all ages.
During the 2024-2025 school year, Science4U reached more than 500 students across Kosciusko County, providing field trips, interactive kits, virtual programs, and on-site outreach that connect students with real-world science. The program is designed to enhance academic performance, build critical thinking and STEM skills, and prepare students for a successful future.
“STEAM introduction and education is essential for developing the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators,” said Mandee Mikulski, executive director of Science Central. “With the support of the Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Science4U reaches further across our region, delivering powerful, hands-on learning opportunities.”
