“Scrubs” returns and “Survivor” turns 50; new music from Bruno Mars; “Scream 7” in theaters


Now that the Winter Olympics have concluded, this week pop culture is back in a big way. From the return of beloved, long-running TV series, to a familiar horror franchise taking another stab at relevance in theaters, check out what is releasing in pop culture from February 23-March 2, 2026.

TELEVISION

Wednesday 2/25: Scrubs (ABC/Hulu; Comedy, Medical)

The core threesome of Zach Braff, Donald Faison, and Sarah Chalke return for this revival of the 2000s medical comedy, with guest appearances by original series stars Judy Reyes and John C. McGinley. Expect them to completely ignore that oddball ninth season everyone hates.

Wednesday 2/25: Survivor 50 (CBS/Paramount+; Reality Competition)

The progenitor of all reality TV competitions hits its landmark 50th season with the first all-returnee cast since the “New Era” started with Season 41. The castaways range from Season 1 (Jenna, again) all the way up through Season 49 (Rizzo and Savannah — haven’t we suffered enough?). Look for celeb cameos and plenty of twists.

Thursday 2/26: The Gray House (Prime Video; Historical Drama)

Mary-Louise Parker (“Weeds”) stars in this new Civil War drama series about an all-woman ring of spies operating in Virginia to fight back against the Confederacy. Executive produced by Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman.

Thursday 2/26: House of Villains (Peacock; Reality Competition)

After two seasons on E!, the competition starring some of reality TV’s most notorious jerks moves to Peacock. Look for “Below Deck” alum Kate Chastain, “Vanderpump Rules” pest Tom Sandoval, “Survivor” schemer Tyson Apostol, “RuPaul’s Drag Race” runner-up Plane Jane, and the O.G. reality TV icon Tiffany “New York” Pollard, back for a third trip.

Friday 2/27: Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (Apple TV+; Sci-Fi, Drama)

The second season of this in-continuity spinoff of the Legacy Godzilla and Kong films continues exploring the shadowy origins of the Monarch organizations, what they have to do with the massive monsters, and the imminent arrival of a new titan.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas stars and Karl Urban star in this period piece about a former pirate whose peaceful island life is destroyed when her vengeful former captain tracks her down and threatens her family.

Friday 2/27: Man on the Run (Prime Video; Music, Documentary)

This new doc focuses on Paul McCartney relaunching his musical career post-Beatles, specifically focusing on the formation of Wings alongside his wife, Linda.

Friday 2/27: Scream 7 (Wide; Horror, Suspense)

After doing a great job setting up a new cast in the previous two films, the slasher franchise goes back to Sidney Prescott, her teenaged daughter, and still more phantoms from the past coming to destroy her via knives and trickery.
