Background
The European Energy Efficiency Financing Coalition is an initiative launched by the Commission in 2024. It brings together the Commission, EU countries, financial institutions and industry to make it easier to invest in energy efficiency and to help scale up private financing to meet the EU’s 2030 and 2050 energy and climate targets.
The Coalition will be instrumental in mobilising investments in energy efficiency, and by this supporting security of supply, competitiveness of European businesses and the most cost-efficient clean energy transition. Ultimately, the Coalition’s activities should bring tangible benefits to European citizens.
