Fashion Week Diva, model, and philanthropist Camerone Parker pointed to Hudson’s signature strength in tailoring. “Sergio Hudson is the iconic king of bringing back the power suit for women,” she said. “I saw a lot of really fresh things as far as great power suits, but also bringing them up to red carpet.”
Beyond the celebration of fashion, the evening also supported the community. The night’s charity was Shay’s Warriors, a nonprofit dedicated to cancer survivorship. Founder Shay Moraga expressed gratitude for the support and for the visibility the event gives her cause. “We have an opportunity to be front and center. It makes a huge difference to all the people that we serve,” she said.
As guests lingered after the final looks — many dancing the night away at Hotel Paseo’s Larkspur Grill for the official after-party — the opening night atmosphere remained elevated and electric. Fashion, philanthropy, and a touch of desert glamour came together inside the runway tent, setting the tone for the days ahead. Fashion Week director Susan Stein shared, “It was wearable and elegant and such an honor to show these beautiful pieces here in this venue.”
Sergio Hudson’s confident collection opened Diamond Wish Fashion Week El Paseo with polish and glamour in pieces that feel at home on the runway yet equally suited for women looking ready to make an entrance.
Diamond Wish Fashion Week El Paseo, presented by California Bank & Trust, continues through March 18. For tickets and information, visit fashionweekelpaseo.com.
