Shay Mitchell Debuts New French Girl Bangs at Paris Fashion Week

Shay Mitchell brought this signature “French girl” hairstyle to Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday. Sitting front row at Dior’s fall 2026 show, the Pretty Little Liars alum paired her sequined houndstooth skirt suit with a fresh set of full fringe.

Mitchell’s outfit consisted of an hourglass blazer and a matching mini, as well as a black leather clutch. Diamond hoop earrings, oversized sunglasses, and bow-embellished kitten heels topped off her look. The actress wore her brunette tresses in a half-updo, while her makeup included winged eyeliner, pink blush, and a nude lip.

Following widespread criticism of her new skin care line for children, Shay Mitchell addressed naysayers while appearing on Today last year. Sitting down with hosts Olivia Munn and Jenna Bush Hager, she explained her reasoning behind launching Rini, which is intended for children as young as 3 years old.

“I thought, ‘Why couldn’t there be something that was gentle and safe enough for them that could be fun and functional?’” Mitchell said in an interview aired in November 2025. “How I see it is, this is really about self-care. It really is a positive introduction into a healthy relationship with skin care.”

Mitchell also said that Rini was inspired by her own experiences as a mom. She shares two daughters, Atlas and Rome, with her longtime partner Matte Babel.

“Skin care starts from birth, you know, we moisturize, we soothe, we comfort their skin as newborns,” she continued. “This is the same thing, it’s just in a different format that’s more fun, and—I feel—very age-appropriate.”

In the same interview, Mitchell described Rini as “not a beauty thing.” “Kids don’t look at masks and think of fixing; they think of a cooling sensation and a shared moment,” she added.
