LOS ANGELES — Small Business Saturday saw slow foot traffic on Santee Alley, where small business owners are in a “fight for their livelihood,” according to Anthony Rodriguez, President & Chief Executive Officer of the LA Fashion District.
2025 has been a perfect storm with small businesses still recovering from COVID, fires, immigration enforcement, protests, military presence and tariffs. Some business owners said they’ve seen a drop of 80-90% in revenue.
Meanwhile, economists said if small businesses don’t survive, it will have a devastating impact on the local and national economy.
