She started out a little slowly with ‘Saawariya’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, but she has had some hits and strong critical reception in other roles, most notably ‘Raanjhanaa,’ ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag,’ ‘Neerja,’ ‘Veere Di Wedding,’ and ‘Sanju.’ Sonam got married to Anand Ahuja in a grand ceremony in Mumbai in 2018. She and Anand welcomed their first child, a son named Vayu, in 2022 and wish to welcome baby two soon!
