COOS BAY, Ore. — The lively and invigorating sounds of jazz, 1950s rock, swing, doo-wop, blues and big band will light up the Oregon Coast with the return of the South Coast Clambake Music Festival from March 12-15. Held at the Ko-Kwel Casino Resort | Coos Bay, the 35th annual festival will draw music fans, dancers and musicians from around the region to enjoy, dance to and create some of the best live music on the West Coast.
“For well over three decades, the South Coast Clambake Music Festival has been bringing music-lovers from far and wide to Oregon’s Adventure Coast for an unforgettable weekend of music, dancing and great times,” said Janice Langlinais, Executive Director of the Coos Bay-North Bend-Charleston Visitor and Convention Bureau, commonly known as Oregon’s Adventure Coast. “There’s a musical style for everyone, along with opportunities to experience something new. Throw in all the other attractions this region has to offer, not to mention the beautiful setting, and you’ve got all the ingredients for an unforgettable time on Oregon’s Adventure Coast.”
An old-time word for a musical jam session, a clambake is all about music and good times. And there’s plenty of that in store for the South Coast Clambake Music Festival, which will spotlight numerous musical acts. This year’s artistry includes a sonic spectrum, from vintage swing to soulful R&B to gospel-tinged blues as well as rockabilly and even some country twang.
Ko-Kwel Casino Resort | Coos Bay is the area’s premier gaming and entertainment venue, especially for an extravaganza like the Clambake Music Festival. Located on Coos Bay in North Bend, it boasts numerous music venues, each with state-of-the-art sound systems, dance floors and bars. It also has more than 200 waterfront hotel rooms, a pool and spa, and a casino with eight table games and more than 600 gaming machines.
Tickets to the festival are available now.
