Spark! Imagination and Science Center hosts Earth Fest for families

MORGANTOWN, W.Va (WDTV) – Families attended Spark! Imagination and Science Center’s Earth Fest today to combine fun with science, technology, engineering and math.

Spark hosts a Spark! Sunday event each month to encourage fun while exploring the basics of STEM concepts.

The center is equipped with wind tunnel simulations, dinosaur building stations and other hands-on demonstrations, all aimed at educating children for the future.

“We’re training children right now for jobs that don’t necessarily exist yet. And so what we really need to do is have a place where you can discover and learn things hands on, and build a tool box that you’re going to be able to use throughout your life. To do whatever jobs are out there, to be able to handle whatever the world is going to throw at you,” said Kelley Burd-Huss, executive director of Spark! Imagination and Science Center.

The next Spark! Sunday event will take place May 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
