Sporting de Braga face a difficult task today in the Europa League round of 16, hosting Hungary’s Ferencváros needing to overturn a 2-0 first-leg defeat.
Braga, who qualified directly for the round of 16 after finishing sixth in the league phase among 32 teams, were below par in Budapest, where they struggled in front of goal. The seven-time Hungarian champions had less possession but were more pragmatic and dangerous, scoring through Gabi Kanichowsky (32′) and Lenny Joseph (69′) to take a two-goal advantage into the second leg.
