On Friday, Zuby Ejiofor’s memorable St. John’s career came to a close.
The next step is the NBA, and likely becoming the first Johnnie drafted since Sir’Dominic Pointer in 2015.
In the months ahead, Ejiofor will get an opportunity to prove to NBA evaluators there’s a place for him at the next level. An invite to the NBA Combine, in Chicago from May 11-18, is expected. That will be followed by individual team workouts.
Currently, the 6-foot-9 Ejiofor is projected to go anywhere from the tail end of the first round to the top part of the second. Working against him is that this is a loaded draft, considered one of the best and deepest in recent memory.
