Steam Drops 11 New Free Games For You To Play

A load of new free games launched on Steam this week, offering fresh experiences from small-scale student projects to larger budgeted titles.

We regularly cover free games here at GAMINGbible, and as part of my weekly roundup every Sunday, I’m bringing several games to you which I feel are worth checking out.

It all depends on your tastes, of course, but among this selection of games there should hopefully be something that whets your appetite.

New Free Games On Steam (22 March)

Let’s dive into the new free games which are available on Steam this week.

  • Biotype, an endless bullet hell based around the unique ‘Tri-Laser’ mechanic, where you need to balance energy requirements for each of the three firing modes as you proceed through each level of increasingly difficult enemies.
  • On Duty: All Clear, a first-person prison simulation where you must go one week without an incident. Complete the missions assigned by the warden every day and maintain absolute order within the prison.
  • Threadline, a clean, rhythm‑infused precision runner where you weave through shifting obstacles with focus and flow. It’s an exercise in instinct, timing, and mastery.
  • Gambler’s Fallacy, an isometric action roguelike with light deck building mechanics, set in a high-stakes western casino.
  • Mini Up, a parkour game where you need to traverse a series of impossible objects. Replayability is encouraged here, as you aim to beat your previous high score.
  • Spirit & Steel, a third person elemental combat game following an old shaman as she tries to save her spirit family from the evil, technologically advanced antagonist, William Von Pingleton III.
  • GOAT FPS, an old school first-person shooter inspired by the classics from the 90s with some quirky humour and fast-paced levels.
  • Whispers of the Seasons, a survival game where you need to defend your cabin against a deadly beast, listening out for its attacks to stop it before it gets inside.
  • Run Shiba Run!, a dog parkour game where you play as a little shiba who has gone off their leash and must eat as many biscuits in the park as possible.
  • Them’s Tale – The Road To Her, a story-driven game series based on Reddit-style storytelling. The stories are written to seem inspired by real events, but they’re completely fictional.
  • Fuse, a puzzle platformer where you play as cute origami characters exploring a vast world through puzzles, combat and exploration. Fight your way past enemies and rid the world of the black tar.

If you want to play any of these titles, you can simply head to Steam and click Play Game, which will prompt you to start installing it on your device.

It’s wise to check if these games will run on your hardware before playing them, which you can do by checking the minimum and recommended system requirements towards the bottom of the store page.

If your PC doesn’t meet the system requirements, you may experience things like crashes, performance hitches, and other issues.
