Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas has recently been fined €2,000 for speeding in his Lotus car at 210 km/h on the Attiki Odos. Along with the fine, his driving license will be suspended for a year. The World No. 34 made his debut at the Six Kings Slam, an exhibition tournament in Riyadh, and withdrew from the 2025 Paris Masters, signaling the conclusion of his season with a heartfelt message.
Stefanos Tsitsipas Receives a Digital Fine for Speeding at 210 km/h
Tsitsipas was caught speeding on the Attiki Odos, the Athens ring road, while driving his luxurious automobile, a Lotus. For his negligent actions, he has received a fine and a one-year suspension of his license. He received the fine through gov.gr via the new smart cameras installed at key locations around the road network. According to Proto Thema, these cameras are installed at Kifisias, Syngrou, and Vouliagmenis, among other locations.
To reduce traffic accidents, promote road safety, and save time and formalities, digital cameras are being used to record incidents. Tsitsipas made his debut at the Six Kings Slam, facing defeat from Jannik Sinner in the quarterfinal round. He collected the participation fee of US$1,500,000.
He decided to withdraw from the 2025 Rolex Paris Masters, the 53rd edition of the ATP Masters 1000 event, to focus on his health and preparation for the 2026 season.
Through his Instagram story, he shared this message: “Hi everyone, unfortunately, I’ll be withdrawing from the Rolex Paris Masters this year. I’ve always enjoyed competing there and truly appreciate the great support from the Parisian and French fans over the years. My focus now is on recovery and healing, so I can come back stronger for the 2026 season. Thank you all for your understanding and continued support.”

The winner of 12 ATP singles titles and two doubles titles also remained absent from the Shanghai Masters and the Vienna Open. Before these tournaments, he was seen in action at the 2025 US Open, where he was defeated in the second round by Daniel Altmaier.
In the 2025 season, Tsitsipas clinched a single title, at the Dubai Tennis Championships, by defeating Félix Auger-Aliassime in the final round. Furthermore, he also faced coaching changes and health issues in his season.
In May of this year, he hired the notable coach Goran Ivanisevic, with whom he had a brief time, and then rehired his father, Apostolos Tsitsipas, as his coach, who had previously coached him from 2001 to 2024.
