Stephen A. Smith bashes underwhelming NBA star as ‘food addict’

ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith didn’t hold back on NBA star Zion Williamson recently, and even called out his ‘food addict’ behavior in an unhinged sports media rant.

Smith has never been shy about making his feelings known when it comes to the best players in the NBA. However, his recent take on the NBA star has drawn big criticism from the New Orleans Pelicans forward.

On ESPN First Take, Stephen A. Smith unleashed on Williamson for being a ‘food addict’ and labeling that as the main reason for the former top NBA Draft pick’s underwhelming results.

The back-and-forth debates between Williamson and Smith have transpired recently as the latter opened up about his struggles.

“You got people that are alcoholics, you got people that are drug addicts and stuff like that,” Smith said during Tuesday’s First Take. “What was Zion’s problem? Food! Food addict!”

The NBA star recently sat down with ESPN’s Malika Andrews and discussed his troubles, especially after he suffered a broken foot during his third NBA season.
