The Ryzen 7 9700X is a very good option to pair with the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, which is going to be good for 1080p and 1440p gaming, with its big boost clock speed of 5.5GHz and decent-sized 32MB L3 cache, and not bad for multitasking with its 8 cores and 16 threads. Where this processor really excels, though, is with its power efficiency. It comes in with a low TDP of 65W, which means it’s ideal if you’re looking for a quieter running system and something more cost-effective from an energy standpoint. RAM and storage
Having 32GB of DDR5 and a large 2TB SSD isn’t standard with RTX 5060 Ti builds, so this is great to see here. The storage is ideal for those who want to have a decent-sized gaming library and also enough space for video footage and denser media files. The RAM is more than enough for running demanding games and creative applications, plus, it’ll make multitasking feel super snappy, too.
Things to consider
If you’re looking at RTX 5060 Ti 16GB builds, it’s always worth checking out other GPUs with 16GB that are around the same price. The closest competitor here would be the RX 9060XT 16GB, which is cheaper and comparable in terms of raw performance. It’s a good option to consider in a build as it’s going to be more budget-friendly and you’re getting some new features like FSR 4 and improved ray tracing and AI performance, too. That being said, it doesn’t have the latest GDDR7 VRAM, so the RTX 5060 Ti does take the edge overall.
