Good morning, everyone. Welcome to the last Sunday Morning Open Thread story before we move to WordPress. I hope you’ve all dabbled on Daily Kos’s beta site. It is a bit different but it’s nothing to be afraid of. Once you learn the tricks, Youtube vids are a cinch to embed. So are Bluesky postings and those from other popular media sites. Also, I think everyone there will be forgiving of any boo-boos for quite some time. After all, we all live and learn.

It’s just after 3:00 AM here as I’m writing this. So far all we have had is a few rumbles of thunder. Nothing worth unplugging the computers over. It’s just enough to frighten my kitty Minty. I had to take time away from my computer to comfort her until the storm passed. Actually, she has gotten much better about her fears since I got her and Rogan from the shelter. At first, she was such a fraidy cat that it took her a full eight months to venture out from under my computer desk. Now about the only thing that scares her are thunderstorms.
Also, I was playing around with the new beta site yesterday where I ran into a problem. All of a sudden, I couldn’t read or respond to the comments. I had no way of notifying anyone over there of my problems except by publishing a brief diary. Apparently, the techies know that the comments section is a bit wonky for some. Maybe they were working on it at the time. In any case, If I don’t comment after the Great Migration it will probably be because the site has a problem with Microsoft Edge.
We’re always looking for new diarists whether to assume weekly duties or for a one shot deal. Contact either officebss or Ozarkblue if you’re interested.
