Tessa Thompson modeled a unique shoe style from Ami Paris at the brand’s event at Balthazar on Monday in New York City.

Thompson showcased a fun colorblocking design with a pair of two-toned blue boots. Birfurcating the shoes down the middle from shaft to toe, one side was a shining navy leather while the other was a soft light blue suede. The silhouette was made distinct with a wedge heel and square toe.
The shoes accompanied a silky black midi skirt, a simple gray sweater, a thick dark turquoise belt and a long furry gray coat worn off her shoulders.

French luxury brand Ami Paris offers a range of footwear, from mesh sneakers to slim derbies. In addition to a collaboration with French restaurant Balthazar through March 11, the brand recently presented its fall 2026 collection. Founder Alexandre Mattiussi shared that it’s a “new start” for Ami Paris, as WWD reported.
“Back to my roots, deeply, to bring back that casualness, that richness, that easiness that made me successful since the beginning,” Mattiussi said.

Thompson, meanwhile, has been busy lately, between fashion week engagements and attending the 2026 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Sunday. She modeled colorblocking in a different way when she attended the Tory Burch show last week, donning Grass green Pierced pumps from the brand to go with a beige ensemble and a yellow jacket.
