We are almost through the bulk of London Fashion Week, and from the ground, the city is feeling particularly buzzy this season with a series of fun presentations and shows from our favorite British designers.
Yesterday, Chopova Lowena held a presentation which had London’s fashion crowd lined up on the venue steps in the rain just to peek at the beloved emerging brand’s latest collections. Today, many travelled lengths to Alexandra Palace for Simone Rocha’s Fall/Winter 2026 show, where an abundance of bonnets and show rosettes emerged on the runway.
Elsewhere in the bonnet department, Bora Aksu experimented with plenty of dainty shapes this season, as did Fashion East’s Louis Mayhew. The fur trim trend we spotted on the NYFW runways transferred across the pond and turned up at Rocha, Toga, and Fashion East’s Goyagoma, while coquette continued to permeate plenty of aspects of the British fashion scene.

What was initially identified as a trend during NYFW has gone international thanks to the Brits. Fur trimmed pieces have shown up across multiple collections this week, including in Fashion East’s newcomer, Traiceline Pratt’s label Goyagoma, whose first look was a camo jacket with a fur collar. At Toga, we saw fur trimmed sleeves of suit jackets, while at Simone Rocha, the fur was offered as a sort of stole/detachable collar hybrid.

It’s been a big week for little hats here in London, with bonnets and jovial headgear appearing on the runway throughout the week. At Bora Aksu, there were pearl bonnets and polka dot kerchiefs, while at Fashion East, Louis Mayhew experimented with more traditional hat silhouettes, only deconstructed. Today at Simone Rocha, a series of sequin bonnets accessorized the looks, which were particularly fun for the Adidas collaboration portion of the collection.

Coquette has long been a mainstay for the English trend cycle, and this season proved that it wont be going anywhere anytime soon. Both Bora Aksu and Simone Rocha returned with perfectly coquette moments throughout their collections, while newcomer brands like Dreaming Eli straddled coquette themes with dark romanticism (see more, below!).

The Wuthering Heights of it all clearly took effect on collections this week, which offered a sense of dark romanticism, especially at Erdem, Emilia Wickstead, and Dreaming Eli–which is establishing its identity within the codes of dark, gothic romanticism. At Erdem, it was about high necks and black lace gowns, while at Dreaming Eli a surplus of lace corsets and shredded gowns were offered up. Over at Emilia Wickstead, things were slightly more structured, with high necked brocade peplum dresses for dramatic effect.

Layering has been a focal point this FW26 season, with creative layering options offered across Toga, Louis Mayhew, and Emilia Wickstead, who layered suiting with denim jackets and collared shirts. Over at Fashion East’s Louis Mayhew, the young designer layered his own boxers with black mesh shorts, and at Toga, Yasuko Furuta offered deconstructed, button up knitwear layered over the torso for texture and dimension.
