On the afternoon of March 25, 2026, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, on the occasion of Greece’s National Holiday, visited the Sismanoglio Palace in Constantinople and attended the reception hosted by Ambassador Konstantinos Koutras, Consul General of Greece in Constantinople, to whom he conveyed the congratulations and best wishes of the Patriarchate and the local Greek community.
As part of the reception, the opening of the art exhibition by visual artist Georgios Taxidis, entitled “Mount Athos: Place of Silence”, took place. The exhibition was organized in collaboration with the Mount Athos Center, while composer and musician Evanthia Reboutsika performed her own compositions on the violin.
Earlier that same morning, the Ecumenical Patriarch was represented by Metropolitan Andreas of Saranda Ekklisies, the senior cleric of the Stavrodromi Community, who officiated the Doxology and the customary Trisagion at the premises of the General Consulate.
