According to the Daily Mail, the London club paid $63 million to third parties, including 12 entities, of which nearly $30 million went to unlicensed agents for the purchase of seven players. Among the seven players acquired by Chelsea at that time were some very important names in soccer and for the club itself, such as Eden Hazard, David Luiz, and André Schürrle. During the period of player transfer irregularities highlighted by Chelsea’s new management, the London club won 9 titles, including the 2011–12 Champions League, 2 Europa League titles, 2 Premier League titles, and 3 FA Cups.
