Following the Music & The Spoken Word devotional in Nairobi, and in continuation of the spiritual momentum experienced there, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints continues its commitment to music that unites, uplifts, and enlightens.  Carried by the conviction that music is a spiritual language capable of touching hearts beyond words, brothers and sisters once again bore testimony of their faith through song, offering their voices as a living prayer.

In this spirit, on February 21, 2026, in Kinshasa at the grand hall of the Cultural and Artistic Center of Central African Countries, a sacred classical music concert brought together many people in a spirit of unity, mutual respect, and faith. This interfaith event, part of the Missa Congo musical project, aimed to promote peace, harmony, and brotherhood within Congolese society.

Conducted by Maestro Armand Diangienda Wabasolele, the Kimbanguist Symphony Orchestra delivered a performance of great artistic quality, reminding all of the spiritual value of music and its power to edify. The orchestra, recognized for its cultural commitment and openness, created an atmosphere conducive to reflection, hope, and gratitude toward God.

Faithful to its commitment to peace, service, and respect for all faiths, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints participated in the event through the Light the World choir, composed of volunteer members from several Kinshasa stakes. They joined choirs from other religious denominations — including Kimbanguist, Catholic, Protestant, and even a Muslim singer. Through their voluntary engagement and desire to uplift souls through music, all choristers bore witness to the values of love, charity, and brotherhood encouraged by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was the performance of an original work by Brother Ange Mambassa, missionary and member of the Tabernacle Choir. His composition, filled with spiritual inspiration, conveyed a message of faith and hope, inviting everyone to turn to God and work together for a better future.
