The Super Mario Galaxy Movie might actually be making a years-long fan theory about Rosalina and Princess Peach canon

Despite Nintendo fans often questioning whether Princess Peach and Rosalina are related in Super Mario lore, the games have never established a familial link between the two blond-haired heroes. Thanks to an intriguing new detail on the film’s age classification report, though, many are wondering whether the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie might do so…

As pointed out by Kotaku, the animated flick has been rated PG in the UK for “mild violence” and “threat”. As the BBFC’s rating page points out under the “theme” category, it also includes “infrequent very mild upsetting scenes include flashbacks to the separation of a girl and her younger sister.”
