I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for an injection of new style in my clothing rotation. There are plenty of fresh trends to be had for 2026, proven by the SS26 runways that took place during the leafy months of September and October this year. After all, 16 designer debuts caught everyone’s attention from New York to London.
But if you feel like you can’t keep up with the fashion trends – the style cycle typically moves at warp speed – or you’re worried you might miss a chic trick come the new year, we’re here to help. Pinterest did predict that trends are growing 4.4 times faster than they were seven years ago, after all.
So, to help you navigate (or rather, get ahead of) the seismic shift in trends set to dominate ’26, we’ve done lengthy research in the name of fashion and identified the key ones you should prepare to see on your style radar for spring and summer. Without further ado, browse below.
Bold florals
Gone are the days when ditsy floral patterns occupied space in our spring wardrobes. For 2026, floral prints have taken a far gutsier approach, swapping sweet, small shapes for bolder, vintage-inspired designs. Think of the patterns splashed on aprons and plucked straight from a 1950s, ’60s, or ’70s kitchen for a distinctively vivid touch. Chloé endorsed plenty of bold florals at its SS26 runway show, displaying them on blouses, dresses, and even underpants.
Cobalt blue
Pops of colour are going to continue their positive fashion correlation. This vivid shade brightened up the spring collections at Giorgio Armani and Tom Ford and is set to take over navy and airy baby blue as the go to shade of blue for 2026. Expect to see the shade on key pieces of clothing, from trousers to jumpers (we suspect that familiar spring chill will still remain in the air) and everything in between.
Bell Bottoms
2025 saw plenty of style revivals from the 70’s and 80’s, alongside corduroy jeans and velvet trousers, so, it’s no surprise that we saw plenty of flared denim jeans at the ss26 shows – led mainly by Zimmerman. Expect to see the nostalgic trend across the high street for spring, from M&S to Levi’s, at an affordable price that won’t break your bank account.
Bubble Hems
If there’s one 2025 trend that’ll still have legs come next year, it’s the bubble hem. Dior cemented its status as one to watch for again at their runway show, where bubble hem skirts and dresses swept down the catwalk in Pantone’s colour of the year: Cloud Dancer. Still available to shop, you could be especially clever and stock up in the Boxing Day and January sales, or alternatively, shop newer styles once they arrive.
Cropped Jackets
Cropped jackets were popular a few years ago, which were then swapped out for oversized blazers for a boyish touch. Now, the style has come back once again, with labels like Loewe championing shorter style bomber jackets on the ss26 runway. Other high street labels are set to embrace the crop jacket trend in the new year, and I have a sneaking suspicion that Nobody’s Child is set to pave the way.
