Local Irish dancers to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Pacific Highlands Ranch
The Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch will host an Irish dance performance and Irish dancing lessons on Saturday, March 14 from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The event starts promptly at 5 p.m. with a traditional Irish dance performance by the Doherty Petri School of Irish Dance dancers. Local nonprofit Gregg’s Goals is looking for applicants for the 2026 Gregg Garon Scholarships, created in memory of Garon, who played soccer for Mt. Carmel High School and Peñasquitos and Poway Soccer Clubs and later was a youth coach. Applicants must have played soccer for a high school or club team in San Diego County, have a high school GPA of 2.5 or higher, plan to attend college, and show team leadership, loyalty, love of the game, giving back to others and courage.
