A local community travel club is offering adult travelers a chance to go global in 2027. Unity’s Kyle Clark, in partnership with EF Go Ahead Tours, is leading the charge for “A Week in Greece: Athens,Mykonos & Santorini” from August 1-9, 2027.
The process began with an informational meeting at the start of November to gauge interest and share some more background information on the group and trip itself.
A teacher and travel club leader himself at Unity Composite High School, Clark says this opportunity is much like what a school travel club would offer for students.
“Lots of schools in our area run student trips to Europe, and I think most of them run it through EF (Education First),” said Clark, calling EF Go Ahead Tours one of the world’s most reputable student travel companies.
Clark recently became the main person behind the school’s travel club, coming off his first organized trip here in 2025 where 46 travelers visited London, Paris, Venice, and Rome, also mentioning that another trip is planned for 2026 in partnership with Wilkie sending students to Portugal and Spain in the spring.
After leading a successful trip to Europe with the kids, Clark began to kick around the idea of what an adult version would look like.
He quickly realized there is a market for unexperienced travelers looking for their own fully itemized itinerary.
“We have had so many adults travel with us over the years,” said Clark, referencing EF’s sister company that focuses on adult travel. “They are essentially an adult travel organization, so because I was affiliated with EF, I started asking around who might be interested.”
If you have ever wanted to go to Greece, then Clark’s pitch below is for you.
“The adult tours are neat because they are more upscaled from the student tours. Give a lot more options… pick things as you go type of idea. A little more freedom for adults, all of the liberties adults don’t get to enjoy on a student tour, if you know what I mean,” chuckled Clark.
Clark believes travel is for all ages, and tours like this make it a lot easier.
“It makes travelling so seamless. Lots of people want to go to Paris, England, Greece; the logistics of trying to figure that out on your own, I think for a lot of people that is too overwhelming. Then travel remains this thing people want to do, but don’t know how to do.”
The trip is as easy as paying your fee and showing up for the ride.
“All of the hotels are taken care of. You have a tour guide. There is a coach that drives you around to all your locations,” said Clark going through the laundry list of inclusions. “It’s sort of a one-stop-shop. Under the safety of global travel protection, so you don’t need secondary health insurance those types of things.
“All of it is organized through EF. You pay your fee, you show up, have an amazing experience, and do it kind of hassle free.”
Clark says the trips can fit any traveler’s level of experience.
“Whether you are new to travel and want to go somewhere… or someone who is experienced, it’s just nice to pay the money and know there are no worries. You are just going to go and enjoy everything this location has to offer, and you don’t have to think much about it.”
Getting the travel bug from his mother who is no stranger to a guided tour, Clark mentioned that he’s more of a backpacker, and that trips like this one offer up the best of both worlds when it comes to freedom and planning.
“That was exciting, but that was also stressful at times. This type of travel is meant for all ages. Whether you are young and getting into travel. Later in life and want to go see things. It’s hassle-free travel.”
The Greece tour package includes seven nights of handpicked hotels, meals, sightseeing tours, a tour director and local guides, all coming together to make for an authentic and memorable experience. Attractions include the Acropolis, sinking your toes into the volcanic black sands of Santorini’s beaches, sandwiched in between a day of wandering throughout Mykonos Town.
