Vera Wang knows how to work a red carpet.

The renowned fashion designer, 76, dared to bare at the Nov. 3. CFDA Fashion Awards in a head-turning look.

Wang hit fashion’s big night in a skin-baring look, wearing a black bralette and a white, floor-sweeping maxi skirt. Her top had matching sleeves and voluminous cuffs that draped around her wrists for an added element of drama.

She accessorized with dark, black sunglasses and minimal makeup. Her long, brown hair fell below her hips.

Wang is on hand to celebrate the star-studded night, which will honor Jerry Lorenzo, Cynthia Rowley, Andre Walker, Pieter Muller, Donatella Versace and Sara Moonves. Also honored is A$AP Rocky, recipient of the Fashion Icon award.

However, she’s been a fixture in years past, having been given the Womenswear Designer of the Year award and the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005 and 2013 CFDA respectively. She’s also on the board with Ralph Lauren, Diane von Furstenberg, Tory Burch and Michael Kors.

Last year, Wang graced the carpet with her elegance alongside Ciara. The two coordinated in black and white looks with Wang in a daring skin-baring gown and Ciara in a colorblock column dress with gloves.

Fashion isn’t the only thing Wang is celebrating lately. In June, Wang welcomed another year around the sun, but in her interview with PEOPLE before her birthday, she surprisingly revealed her reservations about throwing her annual bash. “After my 75th last year, I said, ‘Maybe, you don’t have to celebrate after 75,'” she said while speaking about the latest in her fragrance line.

“A lot of my friends don’t want to. They say, ‘I’m too old.’ I said, ‘It’s not about being old. It’s about being here and living, and we should celebrate that,'” she continued, adding: “But you have to celebrate every year that you’re alive. That’s just how I feel.”

She later shared photos of the festivities she had in Paris, revealing the slinky little black dress and over-the-knee boots she wore for the intimate occasion.

Ahead of her 75th, Wang chatted with PEOPLE at the Fashion Scholarship Fund Gala about “prodding on” in her 70s. “I think maybe a little bit like Warren Buffett [age 93] or Queen Elizabeth II [who reigned the British monarchy for seven decades until she was 96], I’m just going to keep prodding on because I feel as though I’m able to do my best work more and more. I’m really trying to respect that in me, that voice in me, that I feel very happy to be creating. That’s what it’s all about, really,” she said at the time.

Wang has also been the face of many memorable red carpet moments in recent months, including when she attended the 2025 Met Gala in a wig and sunglasses that made her unrecognizable and then the following BAFTAs in an equally head-turning look.
