Video game benefits and risks for children’s gaming play explained


When Jack Tran was a child, his parents used to switch off the internet to stop him from playing on his computer for hours on end during the school holidays.

“My parents really didn’t like the idea of me wasting my time on video games,” says the now 22-year-old, who is a Headspace youth adviser and a social work student at Western Sydney University.
