With Warriors sharpshooter Steph Curry sidelined against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday, someone else had to step up from deep.

Golden State big man Al Horford, in his age-39 season, dropped five 3-pointers in a scorching-hot first half, becoming the oldest center in NBA history to do so in a single half, per Polymarket Hoops.
Across the first two frames at Chase Center, Horford scored 17 points in 14 minutes on 6-of-8 shooting from the field, including 5 of 6 from behind the arc. The 17 first-half points surpassed Horford’s previous season-high 16 points in a full game, which came Feb. 9 against the Memphis Grizzlies, and his previous season high for 3-pointers in a game was four.
Horford started Sunday’s game in place of Draymond Green, who was a late scratch due to lower back soreness, and began the game on a high note with two consecutive triples.
If the short-handed Warriors can pull off an upset over Nikola Jokić and the Nuggets, Horford will be a huge reason why.
