Moses Moody #4 of the Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors received a positive update on Moses Moody ahead of Saturday’s road game against the Atlanta Hawks as the guard continues to recover from a sprained right wrist.
Moody, who has missed the last nine games after suffering the injury against the Los Angeles Clippers on March 2, is making “good progress,” according to the team.
The Warriors added that Moody has intensified his on-court workouts, including shooting and skill work, as he moves closer to a return.
He is expected to begin participating in live action and team practices in the coming days and will be re-evaluated again on Tuesday.
Moses Moody’s Role Underscored by Strong Season
Moody has been a steady contributor for Golden State this season, averaging 11.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists across 59 games.
He is also shooting a career-high 40.2% from three-point range, providing valuable floor spacing and perimeter scoring for the Warriors.
His absence has been felt in the rotation, particularly as Golden State has searched for consistent offensive production during its recent struggles.
Warriors Continue Careful Approach With Moses Moody
Despite the encouraging signs, the Warriors are taking a measured approach with Moody’s recovery.
The team is prioritizing long-term health, ensuring the wrist injury is fully healed before he returns to game action.
Moody’s ability to contribute on both ends of the floor — as a shooter and defender — makes him an important piece as Golden State looks to stabilize its lineup.
Stephen Curry Injury Update

GettyStephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is making good progress and nearing a return.
Moody’s recovery comes alongside continued progress from Stephen Curry, who remains sidelined with a right knee injury.
Curry has missed the last 20 games due to patella-femoral pain syndrome and bone bruising, but is also making “good progress,” according to the team.
The star guard has intensified his individual workouts and is expected to begin participating in live action and team practices soon.
He will be re-evaluated again after the Warriors return home next week.
Report Suggests Stephen Curry Return Could Be Near
According to Tim Kawakami of the San Francisco Standard, there is a growing belief that Curry’s return could come as early as Golden State’s next home game.
Kawakami reported that Curry appeared physically and mentally ready during a recent workout at Chase Center.
“Unless there’s some new setback, Curry’s coming back, maybe by the game against the Nets on March 25,” Kawakami wrote.
The Warriors are nearing the end of a six-game road trip, with two games remaining before returning home.
Warriors Struggling Without Key Contributors
Golden State’s recent performance highlights the importance of getting both Moody and Curry back.
The Warriors are 6-14 since Curry’s injury and have lost seven of their last eight games, dropping from the No. 7 seed to No. 10 in the Western Conference standings.
They currently trail the Los Angeles Clippers by one game for the No. 9 seed.
With just 12 games remaining before the play-in tournament, the urgency continues to grow.
Warriors Await Key Re-Evaluations
Both Moody and Curry are approaching important checkpoints in their recoveries.
Moody’s re-evaluation on Tuesday will provide further clarity on his timeline, while Curry’s next update is expected after the team returns home.
For Golden State, the coming days could determine how quickly the team can regain its full rotation and whether it can stabilize in time for the postseason push.
