Stephen Curry’s herculean offensive efforts can’t continue to go to waste in the Bay. In Lake Show Life’s Svyatoslav Rovenchuk’s opinion, the Warriors could pry a 40-year-old four-time NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers forward during the trade season to assist Steph Curry.
“If the Lakers do want to entertain the idea, it will not be easy to navigate for a handful of reasons,” Rovenchuk wrote Monday. “First things first, LeBron has a no-trade clause. That right there ensures James has full control over how his immediate future looks.”
“The good news would be that Golden State can be reasonably estimated as a destination which the Lakers star should probably green light. James pairing up with Stephen Curry is something the NBA world has quietly begged for.”
“After their success at the Olympic level as a duo, one would guess LeBron might be intrigued by the idea as well. For the Warriors, it would be a desperate final heave at maximizing their current window with the franchise’s greatest player.”

James, who’s spoken highly of Curry on several occasions, has been linked to the Warriors since last December.
After a rough stretch of basketball, many analysts floated the idea of the Lakers blowing up their roster and trading James to Golden State for young assets like Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski.
Los Angeles ultimately elected to retain James and trade Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks for Luka Doncic, but James could reappear on the Dubs’ radar this season.
At age 40, the 21-time All-Star is still capable of going on riveting individual scoring runs late in games, pinpointing open teammates even if his vision isn’t crystal clear, and occasionally postering defenders.

James is averaging 20.5 points, 6.7 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game this season, shooting 50.7% from the field and 31.7% from three-point land.
