Waterfront Blues Festival is back to three days of music

The Waterfront Blues Festival is back this year with three days of live music.

Last year the festival downsized to two days after struggling financially back in 2024.

The change was only meant to be a temporary solution.

The festival focused on performances at the bowl and two main stages.

Festival coordinators say the downsized year helped them focus on where every cent was going.

“It gave us the opportunity to be like, yeah, we need the third day, we need to add that back in, we need to add in another stage, which just again allows us to book more acts, continue to diversify the types of music and really extend the impact of the Waterfront Blues Festival,” said Christina Fuller, festival director.

She also says the extra day brings more people to downtown Portland and to hotels, driving up revenue.

Tickets are available now for single days and the whole weekend.

Kids 12 and under are free.

The festival runs from July 2 through July 4.
