Jasmine Agyeman-budu scored 12 points as Weequahic earned a 37-34 win over Science Park during the quarterfinals of the Newark Public Schools Holiday Tournament.
Weequahic (4-1) jumped out to a 16-7 lead in the first quarter. Science Park (1-3) cut into the lead but still trailed at halftime.
Asiya Whitehead filled up the stat sheet with eight points and 10 rebounds to go with six blocks and six steals.
Science Park tied the game heading into the fourth quarter before Weequahic closed it out with a 10-7 run over the final eight minutes.
