Weird Science star Kelly LeBrock rose to fame as one of the biggest stars of the ’80s.
LeBrock, 65, stepped out on the red carpet earlier this month in a rare appearance at the 7th Annual Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala at The Maybourne Beverly Hills. Normally one to eschew the prying eyes of the paparazzi, the brunette beauty, who recently described herself as “a bit of a recluse” by choice in an interview with the Daily Mail, looked better than ever in leather pants and a black cowboy hat.
“I gave up diamonds for dirt, and I have a big ranch that I have horses and cattle and dogs and chickens, and I take care of it myself… I have one man, one day a week that comes and helps,” the actress, who also appeared in The Woman in Red with Gene Wilder, shared.

Ditching Hollywood for Ranch Life
In a revealing interview with Fox News Digital this past summer, LeBrock explained that she “ran away” from Hollywood after her divorce from Steven Seagal in 1996.
“I was never impressed with myself or Hollywood. I never really cared about it. And I did the right thing,” LeBrock shared.
Instead, LeBrock ditched Los Angeles for a ranch in rural southern California, where she raised her three children, Annaliza, 38, Dominic, 35, and Arissa, 32. She’s surrounded by animals, ranging from chickens and sheep to goats and horses. She’s also a grandmother of three.
“You know, I could always go back to a career, but I couldn’t go back to my children,” she explained. “And that was the most important thing to me, raising my children, because I grew up in boarding school. At five years old, I was sent away. And I didn’t want to have that story for my children.”
LeBrock didn’t feel like she was the right fit in Hollywood, either.
“The crowd is very ugly, and I didn’t want any part of that,” she told Fox. “I’m really quite shy, and I’m a homebody. I spent the two years of COVID completely by myself, pretty much in the wilderness. And you learn a lot about yourself when you’re not in the noise.”
Weird Science‘s 40th Anniversary
2025 was Weird Science‘s 40th anniversary. Looking back on the iconic film, in which she played Lisa, the dream girl of Wyatt and Gary (played by Anthony Michael Hall and Ilan Mitchell-Smith), LeBrock noted she had no idea the John Hughes-directed flick would become so legendary.
“You never think about when you’re doing something, what’s gonna happen,” LeBrock recalled. “You just wanna do a good job and go home. No, you never know. And then sometimes you think something’s gonna be great, and it falls flat on its butt. So yeah, chance is a fine thing.”
