Wethersfield Junior-Senior High School held its annual winter concert Thursday night in the high school gym, featuring performances by the Wethersfield band, choir and the newly added jazz band.

The event was organized by choral director Hannah Wiyrick and band director Patrick Wilson.

The concert began at 6:30 p.m., with student performers arriving early for a 6 p.m. call time to run through final preparations.

The program opened with the junior high band, followed by the junior high choir and the jazz band.

The second half of the concert showcased the high school choir and high school band. Each group performed three holiday selections, except the jazz band, which played two pieces.

The concert wrapped up at about 8 p.m., and families headed home after an evening of seasonal music.
