Do you think of New Jersey as a fashionable place? According to one publication, some fashion experts do.

Is New Jersey A Top Fashion State?

In my mind, places like New York and Philadelphia are fashion hubs, but I’ve never considered New Jersey one. According to one source, Forbes, I was mistaken.

The category is not “most fashionable”, however. The category our state ranked high in was “most fashion-obsessed states”, and New Jersey is #2 in the nation.

That’s right, the Garden State is the second most obsessed state when it comes to fashion. The only state ahead of us is New York.

So, which other states made the top 5? California, Connecticut, and Maryland rounded out the top 5.

For those living in the Philadelphia area, the fashion news is not as good. Pennsylvania ranks as the 12th most fashion-obsessed state.

For a state that often gets criticized for our look (big hair, etc), this is something we can be proud of.

Congratulations to the residents of New Jersey for their attention to fashion detail and their honor as the 2nd most fashion-obsessed state.

The state that was least obsessed with fashion was Hawaii.
