The trial round of the men’s super team event has just wrapped up, where stakes were lower than for the competition itself.
That will see two athletes from the same nation compete across three scored rounds.
There are 17 teams scheduled to compete in this event, with Switzerland’s Gregor Deschwanden (pictured) setting the bar in the trial with 85.8 points. He picked up a bronze medal in the normal hill event last week.
The Norwegian duo of Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal and Johann Andre Forfang look very strong here, coming in second and third after the trial round, so keep a close eye on them.
The Japanese team, by the way, chose not to take part in the trial round, nor did double Olympic gold medalist Domen Prevc of Slovenia.
